About
IC information
The Eternal Star Company is run by husband and wife, Lledwyn Eno'traeh and Demytrya Eno'traeh. They're known for various business endeavors of the Elysian Springs Spa and through Erudite Designs.We are a collection of adventurers, academics, misfits, and aether enthusiasts. Our stated goal is to locate, secure, study, and catalogue relics and artifacts of a dangerous or magical nature, partly to protect the world from the relics and those who would use them for nefarious ends, and partly because they can be useful and interesting to study.
Current Storylines
Currently, we've several different storylines running in the community. For the longer stories, our discord community has channels set up so that new members or people interested in getting involved can get caught up quickly, so even if you've missed some of the story, you can still participate and enjoy yourself!Revisiting the Past - News has reached Erudition of a jack that's searching for the three Vieran witches. Just who is this man and what is his link to their history? What's his purpose? Does this spell the end?The Erudition Book Club, Part Deux - A mysterious magical book of fae tales that somehow pulls readers into the stories and a promise and bargain made to a fae queen lead the members of Erudition down dark paths that they never expected. What will they find in the stories? When will the tale end and what will be found there?
OOC information
We are a community that has been around for a decade. We started on World of Warcraft and then transferred to Final Fantasy XIV a good number of years ago. We focus on story and roleplay and while we sometimes go out to do dungeons or raids, it's normally for fashion items and less about being a completionist or progression.The basis and background of the Free Company and its story is something akin to SCP meets Harry Potter meets the Librarians meets Warehouse 13. If you catch all of those references and understand them, then we might be a free company that you might fit well with!We are an 18+ adult guild and require our members to all be adults as well.We are a mostly lore-compliant Free Company. We're not going to bother anybody for bending the lore, but outright breaking it might give us pause. An example might be that we're not going to give you a hard time for playing a Xaela who speaks perfectly serviceable Eorzean, or even for playing a character from the First. In a setting where Monster Hunters, FFXV, and Nier: Automata all just casually cross into the world with little or no explanation, there's not much that can outright break lore, so if we express reservations about it, it's usually pretty egregious and probably directly contradicts hard canon.

LADDER you move up to where the ladder takes you. (stop at green circle)
SLIDE you move down to where it takes you. (stop at red circle)
CHECKPOINT Counts as a checkpoint so if you die after it you won't have to return to start. This spot counts as a safe space, so no exchange of orders can happen here if someone else lands on it and no deaths can occur.
If you land on a space with someone else on it you overtake them in roll order (unless you are already ahead of them).
If you land on a tile with someone who is behind you in roll order, you send them back to the start or the checkpoint.
To win you need to roll the exact number needed to land on the victory pad.

Winning the Game
You need to be first to finish with a perfect roll to land on the victory pad at the end of the track! You win the Gilded Grand Treasure! (House takes a percentage cut and you win the remainder of the prize pool!)
Special Spaces
Hitching a Hippo Rider Allows you to pull 1 person on the board to you. Swap turn order with them in exchange for the pull.
Bridge of Wonder Pull any player on the board to you and lose a turn with them as you enjoy the view from the bridge.
Dance Stage Enchantment You are enthralled by the dancers on the stage and you lose a turn while you watch!
The Gilded Matanga Gather everyone at the Matanga and everyone rolls a random - high roll wins a special prize. The order of play changes to the order from highest to lowest. After this change, there is a 1 round Cooldown on the Gilded Matanga pull for any game over 5 players. Also, all bad effects (lose a turn, move 1 space only) are cleared by the magical effects of the Gilded Matanga! This effect can only be triggered three times per game before it will no longer work. The Gilded Matanga does not grant unlimited wishes!
Mysterious Caravan You’ve run into a mysterious caravan! Are they friend or foe? Roll /dice alliance 7 for outcome:
1 - The caravan is filled with thieves and bandits! You lose a turn!
2 - The caravan shares their water and food. You’re refreshed and can take another turn.
3 - A friendly ride - move forward 3 spaces.
4 - Well rested - You are given succor and rest while hitching a ride. Ignore the next negative effect for your character!
5 - Cunning scouts - Your new friends drop you off somewhere nice...? (You move to the next legal slide and take it to its location - good or bad!)
6 - The caravan is traveling to the Gilded Matanga and bringing you along. Go immediately to The Gilded Matanga and follow the directions there.
7 - Slow Caravan - No matter what you roll, on your next turn, you only move forward 1 space.
Arkasodara’s Treasure These tricky chests can be either treasure or treachery (Mimic). Will you risk it and open the chest? This is optional!
Roll /dice alliance 2 - If you roll a 1 go back 2 spaces, if you roll a 2, win 50k gil! If you have already opened a treasure chest and lost and roll 1 it counts as death - go back to start or to the last checkpoint!

Bowling Rules
Learning to bowl is easy! Type /dice 10 in Party Chat to begin your frame(turn). The number you roll indicates how many pins have been knocked down. Then roll /dice + your remaining number of pins to try and knock over the rest.Example:

You rolled a 3!
Congrats on your spare!There are a few things to keep in mind:A SPARE or STRIKE on Frame 10 will grant 1 or 2 bonus rolls respectively/dice result indicates how many pins are knocked over, not how many remainIf 9 is rolled, /dice 2 will be used on the remaining pin. 1=Spare, 2=Miss
